The Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC S.A.) and the Achilleion Palace are proud to present the musical event “Musical at the Palace”, taking place in the courtyard of the Achilleion Palace on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 20:00.
Experience a magical evening featuring the greatest masterpieces of musical theatre at the historic Achilleion, presented by Sia Koskina, founder of the first Musical School in Greece and a beloved voice for children. The event is a special tribute to the legendary British composer Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Joining her are the dazzling soprano Denia Leventi and the acclaimed performer Kostas Theocharis, who captivated audiences with his performances last winter.
The three artists will enchant the audience with beloved melodies from the works of the British composer, who set new standards in the global musical theatre scene, in a unique concertante evening featuring iconic costumes from roles in Joseph, Evita, Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chess, and more. In the second part of the evening, they will perform highlights from American theatre and film musicals, as well as Disney favorites, with Frozen at the top, performed in Greek with the authentic voice of Elsa.
The performers are accompanied by emerging artists Eleni Mavropoulou, Lefteris Vafeiadis, Ameli Markaki, Eleni Fandridou, and Elvira Petkova, all trained in the PMTP method by Sia Koskina, based in Heraklion, Attica since 2010, providing highly trained performers to the theatrical arts scene.
